At Becky K Photography, I specialize in heirloom portraits in Cypress and the Houston area, combining traditional southern style with fine art craftsmanship. Heirloom portraits are timeless keepsakes, deeply rooted in southern tradition, created to preserve the sweetness and innocence of childhood. With their classic vignette style and exquisite finish, these portraits capture every delicate detail.

As a mother and professional photographer, I understand how quickly children grow and change. That’s why my heirloom portraits focus on preserving not just how your child looks, but who they are. I like to think of them as heirloom personality portraits—because they capture the essence of each child, from a shy smile to cheeky grins, a tiny pout to a bold laugh, sparkling eyes to mischievous smirks, tender smiles and bursts of laughter. I create artwork that feels alive with their spirit.

The Process

From the moment you book your heirloom portrait session, my goal is to make
the experience simple, stress-free, and truly special.

  • Booking Your Session

     Choose between a session in my Cypress studio or hosting a group heirloom portrait event at your home. Hosts receive their session for free, and I’ll photograph your children as well as those of your invited guests.

  • Choose Your Outfit

    For your heirloom portrait session, I offer a curated studio wardrobe with timeless clothing for boys and girls. You’re also welcome to bring a meaningful keepsake outfit from home—together, we’ll make sure your child looks classic and portrait-ready. See my Wardrobe Guide for more information.

  • Portrait Day

    Using classic studio lighting and a white backdrop, I ensure your child’s features and expressions are the focus of every image. Each child’s session lasts only a few minutes, keeping the experience easy and enjoyable for little ones.

  • The Reveal Appointment

    We’ll meet in person or virtually so you can see your portraits and choose your favorite products.

    Delivery Day
