Joanna’s Heirloom Wedding Dress Session at The Oak Atelier
There are some families who feel a little like old friends, and Joanna’s family is definitely one of them.
The first time I met Joanna, it was for her newborn session. Since then, I have had the privilege of photographing so many special milestones for this sweet family…from Joanna’s baby years to family sessions, and later welcoming both of her little brothers during their newborn sessions. I’ve also seen them back for milestone sessions, family portraits and even a magical session with Santa.
I’ve said this time and again, but one of the very best parts of my job is getting to watch families grow…seeing tiny newborns become confident, funny, caring young people is something I will never take for granted. If you have ever met Joanna, you know she is someone special. At almost six-years-old, she is a wonderful big sister. She is thoughtful, sweet and so grown-up beyond her years…while still having all the joy and wonder that comes with being five.
For this session, we met at the gorgeous outdoor glass house at The Oak Atelier in Conroe, TX. The beautiful natural light and timelsss setting were the perfect backdrop.
One of the highlights of the session was seeing Joanna wear her mom’s wedding dress. But even more special than the dress itself was watching three generations together…Joanna, her mom and her grandmother. I’m not going to lie..I teared up several times during the session. Thank you so much for trusting me with your family memories over the years.
